First Offer on Our Home
Kind of got a weird phone call. The son of our neighbor, Donna, called and said, "I hear your house is for sale." I told him that it wasn't but that we were going to put it on the market shortly. He said he was concerned about who is living next door to his mother so he gave an offer on our house and asked what we thought we would be asking for it. I told him the Wright's house sold for 160,000 but we were going to start quite a bit lower than that and if it hadn't sold when it got closer to the time for us to move then we would drop the price. He then asked me what the size of our home is and I told him as well as that we still had some things we were going to do to fix it up a bit. He told me that he would fix it up and so we wouldn't have to, but then of course he would want us to sell at a lower price too. He asked if he could come see the home some time as he has never been inside. Kind of funny to get an offer on your home when they have never even been inside. (It is Tanna and Ashley's dad.) So tomorrow we are taking a bunch of stuff to a storage unit - about 55 boxes, cedar chest, couch, banana chairs, beanbag chairs, and the ping pong table. Maybe then Zach will finally believe we will be moving.
