While in Utah, the family visited a museum. Fun was had by all - at least it sure looks like it. Zach, Kaitlin and I stayed in Washington so Kaitlin could work with her goat before the fair. (More on that in another post.)
A couple of days later, Kaitlin, Zach, Zach's friend Chet Norman and I drove down to Utah for the last bit of fun, Conner's baptism and the family reunion. While down in Utah, Conner got baptized. Thanks to Michael and Allison for arranging that for us with Allison's uncle who is a bishop - otherwise we would have had to have the baptism up in WA. Not a bad thing of course, but this way family was all there. David and Will said the opening and closing prayers. Kylee and Kaitlin took care of the music for us. Courtney and Erin gave talks. Michael and Zach were the witnesses. Grandma Hein and Uncle David bore their testimonies. Michael, Zach, David, and Will all stood in the circle as Conner was confirmed after Brad had baptized him. That was really nice as Zach had just recently been ordained an Elder in the Melchizedek Priesthood in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
And what a hectic day that was: reunion in the AM, run the the baptism, reunion in the evening. And our family was the one in charge of it with a lot of help from Lissie, Gary, Niki and Andy. Thank goodness we have family down in Utah. It was a lot of fun, but sure glad my turn was over.
Lissie took care of all the photos from the reunion. Here is where you can find them.
